Why is my vape leaking?

Occasionally, you may see minor leakage from your closed system vape device pods. This is most likely due to the buildup of condensation, and is not uncommon in vapour products. If you notice this, detach your Vuse e Liquid pod from your device, clean with a dry cloth and carefully blow into the vape to dislodge any build-up of dirt.

To reduce condensation, try to avoid back-puffing into your vape device, puff gently and avoid using vape pods that have been out of the packaging for a prolonged period of time.

Why is my vape pen not producing vapour?

It could be one of several safety or battery-related reasons why your Vuse Go Reload or ePod 2 devices are not producing vapour:

• The Reload vape pen is designed to automatically shut down if activated for more than five seconds. You may need to wait a few moments before trying to puff again.

• Your vape pen may need to be charged.

• You may need to change your e Liquid pod.

• Dirt might be blocking the connection between the device and the e Liquid pod. Try cleaning it with a dry cloth.

• Your Vuse Go Reload may have auto locked itself or is locked manually. Press the button 5 times quickly to check it’s unlocked.

• Check the air flow on your Vuse Go Reload device isn’t covered.

If you've checked all of these possibilities and are still experiencing issues, contact the Vuse Customer Care Team at info.nz@vuse.com or 0800 097 369.

My vape device is dirty, how do I clean it?

To clean your Vuse ePod 2 or Vuse Go Reload, remove your Vuse e Liquid pod from the device, clean it with a dry cloth and carefully blow into the mouthpiece to dislodge any dirt build up.

Why does my vape taste burnt?

If you’re getting burnt hits, you may be running low on e Liquid which means you’ll need to replace your e Liquid pod. Another reason could be that you’re taking too many short puffs and the wick hasn’t enough time to soak up enough e Liquid. Try taking puffs every 15-20 seconds to see if this resolves the issues.

Why is my vape charger not working?

Vuse devices charge best when connected to an extra low voltage charging source rated no more than 5 volts and 0.75amps (5VDC, 0.75A). If an unsuitable charging source is being used, safety features within our devices may prevent charging.

If you're confident you're using the correct charging source yet still have an issue charging your vape battery, check to ensure that the interface between the device and charger is free from debris. Gently blowing the bottom of the device and into the charger can help dislodge any obstructions. Make sure that the three charging points at the bottom of the device are clean and gold in appearance. If you spot any build-up of dirt or debris you can use the tip of a wooden cocktail stick to gently scrape clean the area. Please keep in mind that you may need to look closely to spot the obstruction.

If the device temperature drops below 0 degrees Celsius, charging will be temporarily inhibited by the device to preserve the integrity of the vape battery.

Why is the LED light on my Vuse ePod 2 flashing?

The white LED flashes when the Vuse ePod 2 is charging and disappears when it's fully charged. If the LED light on the device has flashed 3 times, this is a protection function which will then see the device shut down. Try restarting your device and contact the Vuse Customer Care team if the problem persists.

Why is the LED light on my Vuse Go Reload flashing?

The LED light flashes 3 times:
This means your device is locked. Press the button 5 times in 2.5 seconds to unlock.
This could also mean that your pod is broken. Try replacing it with a new pod.
If it flashes 3 times during use, this could mean that your suction time is too long. Stop, wait, then try again.

The LED light flashes 5 times:
This means your Vuse Go Reload device battery is low and you will need to recharge soon.

The LED light flashes 10 times:
This means your battery is empty and it’s time to charge your Vuse Go Reload vape pen.

Is the LED supposed to stay on while charging my Vuse device?

ePod 2:

The white LED on the Vuse ePod 2 will flash to indicate it is charging. Once the device has reached 80% charge the light will stop flashing. The light will turn off when the device is fully charged.

Vuse Go Reload:

The LED on the Vuse Go Reload will show solid white while it’s charging. When the device reaches 100% charge it will turn off, indicating that it’s fully charged.

How to know if my vape pen is fully charged?

Your vape pen is fully charged when the white LED light turns off.

What should I do if I notice e Liquid condensation in my vape pen or on the outside of the pod?

Use a clean paper towel to gently wipe away any excess liquid on your Vuse device or pod. If after wiping clean the issue persists, call the Vuse Customer Care team.

Why is my vape not turning on?

There could be a number of reasons why your Vuse Go Reload or ePod 2 isn’t turning on.

  • The connection between your vape device and pod could be obstructed. Try removing the pod from your device and cleaning inside the slot. Removing any condensation, liquid or dirt should fix the issue.
  • The battery may be empty or low. Try charging your device.
  • Your e Liquid pod may have finished. Try replacing with a new pod.
  • Check your Vuse Go Reload is unplugged. The device does not support use while charging.
  • Your Vuse Go Reload may have auto locked itself or manually locked. Try pressing the button 5 times in 2.5 seconds to unlock.

If none of the suggestions above work, call the Vuse Care line for help and advice.

Disposable Vape Troubleshooting

How can I charge a disposable vape pen?

Disposables come pre-charged and ready to use. The Vuse Go 1000 disposable vape pen does not need to be charged at all before use and cannot be recharged. The Vuse Go 5000 disposable vape box, however, is designed to be a single-use vape but can also be recharged when the battery runs out.

Simply connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the Vuse Go 5000 disposable vape box and the other end to any compatible USB charging port or station. Your vaping device will be fully charged in no more than 1.5 hours using the included charging input.

Once your disposable device runs out of e Liquid, you can responsibly dispose of it using our vape recycling program RePOD.

How long does a disposable vape pen last?

Each Vuse Go 1000 disposable vape pens will deliver up to 1000 puffs* before battery depletion as measured in laboratory testing. The battery is designed to run out of charge before the e Liquid is exhausted to help prevent burnt taste/dry puffs.

Each Vuse Go 5000 disposable vape box will deliver up to 5000 puffs* before the e Liquid will run out. This device will require recharging before reaching 5000 puffs.

*Based on laboratory testing of newly manufactured Vuse Go 1000 or Vuse Go 5000 (including recharging), at a puff duration of one second in base mode and may vary depending on individuals’ usage behaviour.

How to get the burnt taste out of a disposable vape?

Burnt hits can happen to any vaper. There are a number of different actions to take if this is occurring:

  • If your e Liquid is low - you can check the remaining level through the translucent section of the mouthpiece. If there isn’t enough e Liquid on the wick you can end up with a burnt taste in your mouth. If this is the case, you’ll need to replace the device. Be sure to dispose of your old Vuse Go device responsibly through our vape recycling program RePOD.

  • If your e Liquid isn’t low - if you can see that you still have a considerable amount of e Liquid left, or you're experiencing an unexpected off-taste, dry-hit or burnt flavour from the get-go, then please contact our Vuse Care Team at info.nz@vuse.com or 0800 097 369 for further guidance.
