It can be a bit confusing trying to learn all the rules and customs regarding vaping at different places.
To help ensure you have the best possible vape to quit experience, we’ve put together a quick summary of do’s and don’ts for a smooth vaping experience while travelling.
Read your instruction manual
Like any electronic device, your Vuse device comes with a set of instruction for use. Following these instructions will help you to enjoy an optimal vaping experience. You can find the Vuse ePod 2 instructions in our Frequently Asked Questions.
Research your Destinations
Every country has different vaping laws and customs, so before you leave, we do recommend that you conduct some research to learn about your host country’s vaping laws to abide by. It is worth noting that vaping is completely banned in some countries, so best to do your homework.
Check methods of transport
Whether you’re arriving by land, sea or air, you have to adhere to the relevant set of rules – whether officially established by a governmental agency or by the operator of your transit.
Airports
Most airports and virtually all commercial airplanes do not allow vaping. However, you will find some airports in certain areas that have designated smoking and vaping areas, which are clearly marked. Packing your device is more complicated. Vapers must ensure their devices are not in the same bag as flammable materials and should never keep loose batteries near keys or coins. The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has banned the transportation of vaping devices in checked luggage altogether, and 184 countries use ICAO guidelines to make their flight laws.
Therefore, after you research on your destination and all ports of entry, place your device in your carry-on luggage, ensuring that the device is completely switched off and not in the same bag as any flammable items. Also, please note that all e Liquid bottles and flavour pods count as liquids when you are passing through security.
Public Transport (Bus, Coach or Train)
It is best to presume that you are not allowed to vape while on the move or at the station. While some bus/train stations do have designated smoking areas, you should identify these ahead or ask someone who works for the transport company where it’s okay to vape.
By car
If you’re in another person’s car (including taxis and ride-sharing vehicles), we advise you ask the driver if you can vape or not in their vehicle.
CHOOSING THE BEST VAPE FOR TRAVELLING
We have two different vape devices that are easy to use on the go. Our disposable vape pens Vuse Go and Vuse Go XL, are a convenient option as they come charged and pre-filled with e Liquid, just open, puff, go.
Another great choice when you’re on the move is the ePod 2 rechargeable vape pen. This device doesn’t require manual e Liquid refilling, simply pop in a new freebase or nic salt e Liquid pod and you're all set. You can find Vuse vapes in NZ online or by visiting a stockist in your area.
